Road Island Diner - A Step Back in Time

Nestled in hills in the small town of Oakley Utah is a historic diner that has been featured on the food network. Walking into the diner is like taking a step back into the past with its green Italian marble counter tops, tiled floors, and Tiffany glass windows. The food here is just a sideshow to the atmosphere.

We had just gotten done backpacking in the High Uintas and decided that we were hungry enough to make the 20 mile drive out of our way to try out the Road Island Diner. I had heard they had a mean cheese steak and wanted to give it a try. The diner itself is an old 1939 O'Mahony Dining car. Which in of itself is impressive.
